Oh well, there we go again. It must be the change of season, the moon phase, or whatever else, but something always happen around this time of the year.

In the last 24 hours, I received the following texts from three different exes.

She has broken up with me almost 10 years ago. Spoken a few times since, met her once by chance at the airport 4 years ago.

I think, all in all, you have been the best person I ever had in my life, and I am so sorry I had to break up with you. Wanna try again?

She is my latest ex, she left me one year ago after almost 9 years together. A crazy one.

Hey, hope you are doing well. Haven't seen you in ages. Wanna hook up next week?

When she says in ages, she means almost 20 years

Needless to say I have declined, politely, and said that I am happy alone. And as much as I enjoyed my time with them, that is just the past; I am a new person now, and will never give my freedom away, especially to someone who already made my life difficult many many times. The one I haven't seen in 20 years has also become a land whale, so not even pumpadle and dumpable.

Their replies, well, were quite predictable. From "you don't know what you are missing", to "I am not the old crazy me, I am much better", to "I always thought you were gay, now I am sure about it". One of the them also called me, begging me to take her back. She also called my mum, to tell her how much she misses her. A M A Z I N G ! ! !

They are all past the wall and married or in serious relationships. Yet, they want more.
