This reminds me of back in 2000/2001 I was working at an internet company and we got quarterly bonuses. My girlfriend at the time always needed some “help”!right when that happened. She could not make her car insurance payment or she needs something else.

I was in my late 20s and had no idea what being taken advantage of meant.

She ended up leaving me the day after her birthday when I took her to dinner and bought her gifts. And left her mice, cat, and hamsters with me.
