sometimes I wonder about the upbringing of people in this sub, I have grown up seeing tons of intact nuclear families with as much of unicorns maybe as you're gonna get. Divorce rate of 50% still means 50% of marriages are "succeeding" (however imperfectly)
LOL you couldn't be more wrong, maybe you will learn in time as you get more life experience.
How can you base on other people's marriages, women act COMPLETELY different in public, all my family and friends thought my last ex was perfect and we were perfect couple, they didn't see the mind games, arguments and screaming in private.
At the end of the day it's your loss my friend, you keep chasing the unicorns and maybe you'll realise they don't exist when you're old but it will be too late by then, I'm trying to help you not fuck up your life.
Much of my family and friends have "in-tact" marriages and I know very few people who are divorced but ALL the men I have spoken to in those marriages wish they weren't married and are fed up. A marriage that keeps going is basically the man giving up and letting the woman have her own way, they learn to accept being miserable.
But of course they want everyone to think their little relationship is perfect, most people love to show off, that's why they tell everyone it's great and they love each other so much. Trust me, it's bullshit. It's the same thing if you are making minimum wage and hate your job, would you tell people, probably not as you want them to be jealous of you and think you are successful.
