In most states the age of consent is 18. The law has decided that by that age you understand the consequences of you actions. Before that you are a minor and cannot give your consent. Therefore sex between a 12 year old and a 20 year old is rape.
Consenual sex between a 36 year old an a 18 year old is not rape. As the article states she was charged with improper relationship between educator and student. She was not charged with rape because no rape had occurred. If he was not a student at her school she would not have been arrested.
I'm am just telling you what the law is, no "white knighting faggotry" involved. By saying something is rape when it is not you are no better than feminist who insist everything they don't like is rape.

Texas doesn't have an actual charge called "rape" there are two options in Texas:
Criminal Sexual Conduct: Which covers force, sex with a child, and sex with someone under your care, disabled, doctors, etc.
They also have the "improper relationship" law which covers just teachers.
So, for example a 40 year old therapist who has sex with her 18 year old client would be charged with CSC. A 40 year old teacher that has sex with her 18 year old student gets charged with "improper relationship". They're the same crime...neither one is legally referred to as rape. Even a 50 year old man that snatches a 5 year old child and sexually assaults her wouldn't be guilty of the crime of rape because there is no such crime. He'd be guilty of CSC, just like the therapist.
However, we both know damn well that if this was a male teacher the papers would be using the word "rape". They can get away with it because there is no legal definition of the word under Texas law they can't be successfully sued for using to refer to whatever they want.
So you can sugar coat it all you like, but since the MSM would use the word "rape" for a male perpetrator in all cases, I'll continue to use "rape" when wahmen do the same thing.
