Hello. So for most of my life I've pretty much already followed this without even knowing about it. I've never been on a date or in a relationship, and the only couple girls that were interested in me quite a long time ago I just didn't feel would be a wise choice to pursue. They were in to alcohol which I am not, and didn't seem to take care of themselves very well--additionally not physically or mentally attractive to me. Growing up, I didn't care to chase after girls at all, which likely saved me a lot of trouble. Unfortunately, the reason was more due to social awkwardness, porn & isolation addiction, avoiding all the work it would take, and preferring videogames. Wish I could say I had the foresight to avoid risking my livelihood, but I still risked it in other ways. Not too long ago I found out about and joined Nofap. I know some call it weird, but I had a serious addiction problem. Still dealing with it from time to time, but I'm confident the issue will be taken care of within the next few years once and for all thankfully.

Lately, however, I've been admitting to myself that I have loneliness and it might be nice to share life with a partner with similar values so I've been trying to see if anyone is out there--in person and online, and perhaps there might be more reasonable women than when I was in school since the world is bigger when you are 28 than under 20.

It isn't working out unfortunately. At this point everyone is married, living together, already with kids, divorced, still jumping from one dude to the next, or going their own way (yes, apparently some woman have opted out of relationships as well). I'm not about to put up a front, go to the bars or clubs, or go out looking for a fancy career that I don't care for to lure someone that'll end up leaving me. I want nothing to do with hook ups or casual encounters and I'm Christian, which removed majority of options at meeting anyone right off the bat (which is alright because I know where those decisions take people). I'm certainly not anywhere near perfect myself when it comes to what's in the mind--working on it, but it seems like there's no one left that values commitment, saves for marriage, tries to listen to God, or anything of the sort. The way my mother raised me to act, believe, and what to look for appears to be a phantom of the past in this generation.

I know there's others out there in the world with billions of people, but I can't be anywhere but this small part of it, and hope is dwindling the more I'm observing what's going on. Briefly thought to myself maybe I'll just have to be FA, but being FA seems to harbor negativity when I think about, easily triggering depression (no one would even want me ideas). I found this place, so I thought perhaps I'll join up (more officially) since I agree with most of the sentiment, except for ALL women being completely bad. Maybe I've missed the boat, maybe things will only get worse with overall quality of a woman, or perhaps there will be a miracle finding a needle in a haystack, but I don't want to develop stress/depression at the idea of being alone nor do I want to drive myself to fatigue searching for the 0.01%... So I think I'm down to search deep and truly embrace single life.
