Homeless guy here.

It's hard enough going around asking for help from complete strangers...imagine the sheer amount of work you have to put in just to deal with a family.

I may not have a roof but i'm not taking care of anyone but myself, so it's a little easier.

I feel for him. I really do.

I saw a story one time on a man who was homeless and was raising a daughter. He built a shelter out in a national park which was eventually discovered by a hiker who turned him in. When they took the girl in they found she was in perfect health and was reading far above grade level. Apparently he had gotten a hold of some books somehow and educated her himself.

The funny part is that it never occurred to these authorities to just leave them be. After all she was doing better than most of her peers. I think they moved them into a trailer park and made him get a job. It's anyone's guess how she turned out after that.

I would imagine he wouldn't be degrading himself like this if he wasn't also providing for his families dreams
