As a father of 2 boys who are circumcised I wish I’d heard the arguments against it sooner. With my first who’s now 5 I didn’t hesitate to check the box for him. With my second who’s now 2 I thought about it a bit and discussed it with my wife who said it would be weird if he didn’t have the procedure.

I reluctantly went along. Though now I’m firmly in the camp that it’s genital mutilation or plastic surgery for a 2 day old baby. If by some chance we have another boy I’m not letting it happen again. Thankfully we’ve had no complications with my current kids.

Had this exact discussion with a (former) female associate. Couldn’t grasp the logic (shocker, I know) behind how FGM and forced circumcision are exactly the same. Nor how my opposition to infant circumcision is based on the same ideas as her pro abortion, “my body my choice” stance

This happened to me, the moment I was born I was baptized in the catholic church and immediately circumcised and I didn’t have a choice whatsoever as I was a baby, I never really thought of it as a big deal, now I can see how it can be considered genital mutilation, as there’s no way to undo it and the child has no say in the matter.

"My body my choice" doesn't work if pro-lifers believe abortion is murder and life begins at conception. You can't justify murdering your wife or son in your own house by saying "My family and property, my business". I'm not saying there are absolutely no good points from the pro-choice camp, just that bodily autonomy is a pointless approach within the debate dynamic as it specifically pertains to this issue.

The way I see it, if its so much better feeling to be uncut then I’m extra glad I’m cut. The last thing I want is for it to feel so good. The better it feels the more likely it is for me to want to have sex, and that’s a big problem (as a non pump n dumper).

The amount of men that are ruined because of this is astounding. There are DIRECT correlations between increased violence in society and the practice of Routine Infant Genital Mutilation.

The entire medical system would collapse if the AMA ever changed it's stance.

Feminist here--while I don't have children, if I had had a boy, I wouldn't have mutilated. FWIW, when the foreskin is intact, suddenly the g-spot makes total sense, in my experience.
