I was banned from r/offmychest as soon as this post went up. Anyone else have that happen? It says the ban is for participating in an incel/redpill subreddit lol. I’ve never even posted there, how can they ban me for posting somewhere else, and why do they have a bot watching my post history. Some mod has an agenda I think.

Clown world. I’ve been eating alone in public for more than 25 years and never gave it a second thought. If this is what really goes through people’s heads, that’s their problem, not mine. For me, eating time is sacred time. I can’t be bothered with anything else (have had a cell phone for over 20 of those years and it gets shut off or in airplane mode while I am eating).

I have no problem eating alone in restaurants. I know they're probably looking at me and thinking "haha, what a chump, nobody that can join him for lunch". While I look at them and think "haha, what a chump, he'll have to fork out a fortune to feed that beach whale".

But apparently I have a mental defect because the biggest problem I have with eating around other people is the noise. I can't stand the sound of people chewing food, I hate it. Apparently the term for it is "Misophonia" and it's a "mental illness" . Oh well.

I travel for work on occasion and absolutely love going to restaurants by myself. It was a little weird the first time, but not in the hundreds of times since then.

When I left my sons mom a little over 2 years ago, I ate alone for the first time in many years. It was just IHOP. I had a craving for pancakes. Something about it was different without her there.........The check! God I was so happy that the bill was under $20 and I didn’t have to hear her voice at that meal
