"unpopular opinion" = groupthink. Try posting, "Men get nothing out of marriage" over there.
At any rate, if you're desperate to rehabilitate marriage, try making it a limited-term engagement, and spell out what will happen in case of divorce, explicitly, in a binding contract.

No. No more "everlasting" contracts. Get rid of that form of marriage entirely.

Yeah... harder like truly impossible.

Yeah, because what we need more of is laws and restrictions.
Want to fix marriages? Teach both sides the statistics and law behind marriages. If you insist on legal intervention, make it an obligatory day-course on top of your obligation to get the marriage officially logged. See what that does to the divorce rate.

Who cares about marriage? It's dying anyways.
I suffer for the innocent man, who suffer the pain of being slaved in that unsophisticated institution.

Marriage should be banned. Every two years I have to renew my contract with my cellphone carrier, in 15 years I have never had an issue with them, yet I hesitate every renewal period.

Well, no. People only realize why the marriage is terrible after already being married anyway. Making the process harder will do little more than prevent a few drunk marriages.

I don't care either way, but as a man currently going through a divorce - and having lots of time to think about it, I can honestly say that marriage should have nothing to do with the government.
