Games are a hobby, at least games of skill. Not talking about story driven games.

It's of course important to construct things as well, but don't shame people for enjoying games.

But seriously, even if it was advantageous to stop playing games, I don't know why (based on this thread). Saying people who play it are boys and not men is a ridiculously weak argument, it is just an attempted insult at those who do play games.

The only people that this would convince are those who would give in to the pressure of normality and societal acceptance. Given that it takes overcoming these factors to become red pill MGTOW, I bet no one gives a fuck about them. You'd be better off posting this in a blue pill subreddit if you want to convince people more easily.

Being more analytical of the argument; it holds no formal argumentative value, as you're defining a man based on whether he plays or not. As such, your definition of a man is arbitrary, so the positive components of being a man are lost, due to a lack of association.

Personally, I'm not much into video games anymore. Maybe some MarioKart, which is already pretty casual, but that's a relatively recent thing that I'm sure I'll grow weary of in a few weeks. And we're talking tops an hour or so a day, usually far less. However, if men enjoy them, I see no reason to shame them for it.

It is funny how there's so many complaints concerning posts about life-lessons learned dealing with women, that this forum focuses too much on that topic. I disagree with that notion, as RP rage must be vented and the rest of us can stand to use periodic reminders lest we fall back into the bargaining phase. But then, when men here talk about something else such as cars or video games, there are complaints about that as well.

Basically, I'm saying if you want the sub different, be the change you want. Post about what you consider "Mens hobbies". If something posted doesn't interest you, just don't read it. Problem solved.

I hate to burst your bubble on an otherwise valid sentiment, but gaming is a men's hobby. It's perfect for dudes on a shoestring budget trying to be entertained whilst getting their lives back together and building their savings back up. Seriously, on the scale of expensive hobbies, it's pretty far down, and you can do it in all seasons, any kind of weather.

well i personally understand you to be honest when i played games it was mostly to escape reality and shut me out of this world for a while, games are extremely fun and you dont have to work for it or get your ass up which would make you somehow mentally stronger so in my opinion it is kind of a boy thing. today i focus only on „rl“ no distractions from it no time for games except sometimes socially with friends but to each his own way besides studying for my career i rather enjoy bouldering,diving or hiking in my free time
