I struggle everyday to keep myself above depression. This world is depressing as fuck.

Break the negative though and workout...nobody gives a shit so I take care of myself. And I can do it because I have to.

I’m not giving my exes the satisfaction of failing life and I won’t let my kids down.

If you work really hard at a personal goal, you will sit back and feel satisfied at the end of the day. This really helps decrease depression. We were made to work, so your brain will reward you, and if you work on something that benefits yourself, it will feel damn good when there’s progress. You will also be better off, so it’s win, win, win.

For me, I feel down at times, but I don't want the world pining over me. I like me privacy.

All I can say is find value in your work, search for interesting hobbies, work towards goals that make you happy and secure.

Don't worry about filling the goals of other people's agendas.

i've dealt with depression for 15 years. The only things that really help are exercise, meditation, long walks, nature, and some kind of work with your hands that you can get lost in. Drugs and alcohol are temporary fixes but they really tend to only amplify whatever mood you had before you started.

As a man all you can do is show no weakness and handle your shit. That means diet, exercise, vitamin D from sunlight, laughing with friends, quiet time, proper sleep, stress management, limit alcohol/recreational drugs and prescription medication if necessary. Many won’t want to hear it but cannabis does NOT help at all for depression, It’s bad news.

As other men when we see a friend struggling the best thing we can do is not talk about it and just support them in doing all of the above.

Put on a shit ton of muscle and get shredded. Fitness is a lifelong endeavor and gives you a goal every single day. Lift, cardio, diet. Every day. Fuck the excuses and do it. There is no reward like seeing your body change before your eyes and getting stronger week by week.

I love how in the last few episodes, the writers knew that Pam wasn't good enough for Jim so they actually had to make Jim go white Knight on a woman he already had. I mean, holy crap. Self aware but still not making it any better.
