This meme hits me hard. It hurts... Lost my daughter to the courts. My ex left after the down turn hit the oil patch in Canada and took her. When the big "cash" wasn't coming in she decided she could do better. She is now with an unemployed driller that beats the shit out of her. My girl is 6 years old and still keeps in touch with me through Messenger and cries everyday. Taking that "woman" down. Working 2 jobs to pay for a good lawyer to get my sweet little girl back and away from that bullshit.

Only a Man/Dad will want his to truly thrive and wish for the wellbeing of his children. Sure there are bad apples, but the exception doesn't represent the general rule.

Haven't seen my dad since I was a kid. Thought he didn't care or just wasn't a good person. Today, I don't know where he is or if he's even still alive but I wonder if things would have been different between us had I known the things I know now back then.

During the few times a year I got to see him, maybe I would have been grateful and tried to connect with him. Or hugged him and smiled instead of being indifferent and disinterested. I could have been a better son to him.

I was one of those kids, my mother used to fight her own fights with my father over me, I despised him for years. Only when I left home for uni that I realized my hero was my father. Just try to be there as much as you can for your child and he'll come back
