I'm so tired of people telling us what men MUST do. A man must do nothing more than what he wants to do because men don't owe anybody jackshit.

Guys just let a man have fun, I mean come on.

Godammit seriously
One of the things I hated about the red pill is per them you can only be doing 3 things with your life:
1)fucking or trying to fuck women
2)making money
3)working out
If you are doing anything else you are wasting your time
sounds fucking exhausting

I think the image is not worded exactly right but from what I gather it's not saying "don't ever do these things" but more or less don't let them consume you, and it's right.

A man must build for he is a tool for others gains.
By building, he increases his value and thus his bargaining potential. The moment he loses this value, society would prefer that he would either sacrifice a ton to become useful again or kill himself.
This is also why everyone hates men who drink, play video games, get sex without being a good workhorse, etc. Nobody but the individual man himself gets any value from it.
So society paints all of these activities as demonic or low status in an attempt to get men to be better slaves. It doesn't matter how much a man drinks or how many hours he spends playing video games, he will be considered an addict if society could get away with it.
Consider the prohibition as an example of this.
TL;DR: "becoming an alpha" is to become the most useful tool for women's enjoyment and pleasure.

Videogames are fucking awesome, so is mountain climbing, I do both because that's what I want out of life as a man going my own way.

You, sir, are definitely one of the most interesting poster I've seen here, nice way with words without being overly long while still staying on point.
The whole "alpha" thing always made me laugh. And when you're not a tool for their pleasure, you're a tool for their social gratification and their petty competitions with other women.

Do what I want, just want to live a carefree life doing whatever. Starting away from sex, don’t want to build for another or open a business. Just want to make money, invest, workout, get into my hobbies more, game like crazy, travel and live in bliss.

What if you build video games for a living?
[–]Corvus_Uraneus8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nah, imma go ahead and have that drink after work and rub one out then play some games. I still lift, I enjoy my hobby on the weekend and meaningless sex when its easy. Career/family/passion is going fine despite all that.

yeah this is not great. the way it ends. Work, even if you dont feel like it. Real men suppress their feelings and buckle down to get done what needs doing. I reject that, sorry. Sure I get demotivated and dont "feel" like it sometimes, but its much more valuable to learn WHY I'm demotivated, why i dont feel like it, than to ignore my emotions altogether and work anyway.
Epicurus was great, but Diogenes was on to something.

The life of an entrepreneur. Always chasing and creating the life you want and the reality you envision.

Ultimately I think we all live for emotional reasons. We want to experience certain things we look forward to. But we use logic as a tool and especially as men should be able to put aside our feelings for desired outcome and push forward, always do the "right" thing as guided by our reason. I'll do whatever the fuck I want to do and I can get away with and no one is going to convince me otherwise. I live mainly for my own happiness and the few individuals who I respect and who have helped me along my journey.

i tend to agree that no one should tell us what to do, but i think we as men are hardwired to draw our identities from what we do.

I work hard enough as it is. I'm putting myself through a physics degree with hardly any help from anyone. I've worked a back breaking physical labor position at a company for so long that the boss has specifically told me that the company wouldn't be around today if it weren't for my contribution.
If I want to take a break and have a drink, that's precisely what the fuck I'm gonna fucking do.
