I wouldn't say it's the Jews doing it. I think it's more a Treaty of Versailles overkill sort of thing. We cracked down, hard, on national pride in Europe after WWII, either to try and stamp out things like the Nazis, or as efforts by the Soviets to undermine the concept of national sovereignty in order to absorb them into the Soviet Union. It's been bad to be proud of your country in Europe for 60+ years now. Is it any surprise no one gives a shit about what happens to their countries?

I don't think pride is the problem. Most people think their beliefs are good for their country, when in reality they have no clue. I used to have "pride" of my country and wanted to make a change--donating, working, "productive" member of society, etc.--until I realized just how much my country doesn't give a fuck about me.
I think the best medium is somewhere in the middle: enough pride to do good for your country, but not so much where you'll sacrifice your morals/beliefs to defend it.

It’s like the Mark Twain quote, “patriotism is loving your country, and your government when it deserves it,” or something like that. You don’t alphabetical to love or even like your government, but if at the end of the day you don’t care about any of it, why would you try to defend it?

I've been wondering for years now which western EU country will be the first to go Islam and start the caliphate of Europistan. Sweden, Holland, France, Germany, it's a toss up. Honestly, I don't pay much attention because I really don't GAF, they're adults they can live with the consequences of their actions, just like we have to in North American. IDGAF about here either, only my rights and taxes matter to me until I can GTFO.

not at all. Not since Napolean who, BTW, wasn't even "French"; he was Corsican an island that was part of Italy until 1768, the year before he was born it became part of France.
You'll have to go back to Charlemagne to find a Frenchman that actually defended France from invasion. Unless I missed someone, like whoever was King that drove the English out of France finally. lol
To be fair to the French people, their soldiers have always fought well. The problem was that their generals and officer corps were shit and threw away all the work their troops did. Incidentally, I think a big part of that was that the officer corps and the enlisted/conscripted soldiers were of two different training schools and for much of history of two different economic classes. It certainly caused a lot of strife during WWI to the point that rebellions started springing up in the French trenches. They didn't have a system where the officer corps is ever outranked by enlisted (technically the US is the same way, but it takes a particularly thick butterbar to not realize he should listen to the Master Sergeant) and so the officers never respected their men. It resulted in half-assed ideas like the Maginot Line. Which worked. Sort of. The Line ended at Belgium because it was for defending against Germans, so why extend it to the France/Belgium border? Well, rather obviously, because then the Germans are going to invade by way of Belgium. Like they did.
And now France is going to fall, just like the UK, because they killed all their men. The only ones left are cowards and fools.

I agree with the degeneracy and decadence. It will lead to weakness, destruction and subjugation. That was my point about the Byzantines (thanks to the Ottomans, who were only stopped at the walls of Vienna thanks to the Poles).
The decay of one society leads to it's destruction and replacement. Glubb's "Fate of Empires" describes this well IMO. For western EU countries, that replacement will most likely be Islamic.

Empires rise and empires fall; the Byzantine wasn't the first, and it won't be the last. I might not be able to speak to a Byzantine citizen, but I'm sure able to speak to a Greek person, and enjoy the Byzantine cultural heritage. Point is, there's nothing even remotely suggesting that any Western country will embrace or be subjegated by Islam any time in the foreseeable future. Sure, there is a demographic shift, but the society is developing in a direction that is diametrically opposed to Islamic values.

the corruption, decay, decadence, etc. that you decry, the demographic shift we both see, is precisely why Islam may be in a good position to overthrow western European governments from within the borders if not from within the government or in violent opposition to the government and indigenous population.
I don't see assimilation happening to any significant degree, I see the opposite; as Muslims see and experience the decadence first hand, they may partake, abuse but also smell the weakness and decay which encourages contempt and worse.
Islam will be a major factor in western Europe's future even if it takes 50 or more years, it's inevitable; what's not clear is the manifestation. What I don't see in the future is anyone like Charlemagne (or even DeGaule), Ferdinand and Isabella willing to defend their lands, culture, history, lives, etc.

Germany will fall first: they were the only country to ever stand up against the (((communists))). A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. Looks like they will be the last to ever do so, too. It really is sad watching West Europe devolve into Weimar 2.0, only this time with full blown communism & Islam tacked on. Hopefully (doubtfully) the subjugation of europa to foreign invaders within & without will be enough to scare the American peoples into action, these same people being of the last country in the western world maintaining the right for its citizenry to bear arms and attempt to defend itself from the reds.
It will take much more time than is available in our lifetimes for things to ever get better, and they will get significantly worse before they do. Set both yourselves and your descendants up for tough times ahead.

the situation in France is similar to the rest of democracies/republics where society is in decay. Your OP is one more example of modern society's decay. While this is happening to these societies, the Muslim population grows at a much faster rate. At some point these two trends will meet. That inflection point will likely result in civil war if the indigenous population has sufficient will or numbers; if not, they will be subsumed or destroyed by Islam. I anticipate the formation of the caliphate of Europistan, because it appears few Europeans have the will, strength, ability, awareness, interest to resist, and those that do are an ever dwindling minority.

Going back further it's interesting to note how many places discussed in the New Testament have been Muslim for centuries.
