I know a woman who is currently 35, thinks that she looks 22, and openly brags that she will look 28 when she’s in her 40s.

Reality: Her face has already started to scrape up against the wall, has been for a couple of years, and it’s not going to get any better. Her mind may lie, but the mirror never will.

Reminds me of a story I heard over one of the MGTOW channels (I forget which, I listen while I work) where a young man with an abusive mother recounted some of the mean stuff she said to him.

Oof. That reminds me of a time my family and I were going to a waterpark and my mom, being probably in her early 40s, had said something about her being hot. I knew she was referring to temperature, but my little smartass said “Yeah, maybe in your 20s.”

Needless to say I got a talking to that night about how I shouldn’t say hurtful, unnecessary comments.
