27m, Technical consultant at a big 4 and just accepted a promotion for 105k a year in Seattle. Since I travel Monday thru Friday I’m gonna bank pretty much everything.

Broke up with my elitist gf who was all about career and her goals. It was never about us. Field service tech in automation and industrial food packaging. I travel North America installing, training and troubleshooting industrial scale packaging machines. If you ever bought any food item in a grocery store, you probably held something one of our machines packaged.

I don’t have an office I go to, I’m independent other than getting an email telling me where to go next. It’s an interesting job and I love the work. The entire maintenance industry is desperate for manpower as old techs are retiring with no one behind them to take over.

I can have 5 job offers lined up in 12 hours if I wanted. I have to turn off LinkedIn notifications from constant job offers

It’s a good problem to have.

I have my own business in China. I teach, recruit and do some consulting. I retired from my IT Job in the states and moved here about 4 years ago.

I run a little warehouse with a team of 8 people.
75% of my work consists of watching the WMS and organising my team depending on the workload and priorities, 15% is answering emails and 10% is participating in bs meetings.

I kinda like it because every day there are surprises, it's not a job where I have to be at my desk 100% of the time, it's a chill job most of the time, the pay is ok but I have other advantages where I work at.
I plan on buying some real estate soon (only a tiny credit, I saved up a lot by not wasting money on bitches) and then I'll start saving for early retirement. I'm not sure when exactly I will retire, but it definitely won't be at age 65-70 (who knows how the law will change in the future), maybe around 50 or so, but that depends on my finances, health and if I still enjoy working or not ...

By luck and chance. I’m an Aircraft Mechanic by trade. We got massacred in 2008/09. Half of our team got laid off and I contracted a bit for 6 months when a motorcycle riding buddy told me about throw field he just started working in.

Got hired, worked hard, showed I’m a good tech, personable and rest is history.

Technically you would start off as a milwright but man, we’re so desperate for people anyone that’s willing to learn and shows mechanical aptitude will get hired.

I'm a machinist for a major airline. I work in a small niche shop, we handle the fucked up, broken, and stuck shit in maintenance. It's interesting work, never really know what the next phone call will be, or where it will be.
