The terrifying part of this, is that they believe this. Assume 350 million people in America, that's.... 7 in every 100 people are rape survivors? I can't even. Roughly 3 in 50. .... so roughly 1 in 15 or so people is a rape survivor? They actually believe that.

Oh, but wait, the insanity goes further, because they are only speaking about women!! So cut that 350 million down to about 175 million... So... you're telling me, 14 out of 100 wymmin have been raped? 7 out of 50?

Do I understand this correctly? If a woman is raped, she's entitled to all of her medical expenses, a blow-by-blow report on the arrest and prosecution of the culprit, counseling for the remainder of time and all incidental expenses? If that in fact is correct, what about if one of us is mugged? Are we all entitled to reimbursement for our losses, medical expenses, etc.?

Don't even get me started on the inequities in our ~~justice~~ legal sytem. Inequities between economic classes, races, gender, etc. How men are more likely to get convicted, serve longer sentences, and are imprisoned in much worse conditions.

I think a lot of the rape kits are unexamined because it costs money to run DNA tests. They are not about to do that until they are certain a crime has been committed.
