Why take gender into this particular situation? If you want to support your cousin more than you want to relax, go. If you don't, for whatever reason, don't go. I'd go for my cousin, but I don't know your cousin.

Let’s be honest. They would find excuse to get out of something that he was doing. It’s pointless to try to appease family. They’re really not going to leave you as easily as a friend would, so there is really no motivation to be nice to them unless they give you free stuff because you’re in college and a financial dependent.

honestly i can celebrate anything i want. anyday. i get to do that. other guy cant, so i would have prob gone to the wedding. after that, i go back to flying solo, treat myself to a greasy dinner and the newest video game out on ps4.
