Edit: to expand on the Talmud, it is an interesting read because there’s a lot of historical data in it. It was written by rabbis over the millennia as their interpretations of how to apply the Torah to various situations. So when Jews had to survive throughout history, some hardships led to bitterness in a few individuals who wrote a few unsavory passages. Keep in mind, Jews do not follow the Talmud because it isn’t law. Jews worship and follow the Torah since that’s the only actual holy text in Judaism.
Also, keep in mind Christianity borrows much of its philosophy from Judaism. They are brothers as far as religion goes.

It’s not the same as Islam. They have multiple books that are all canon, much like Christianity (New and Old Testament, with multiple books contained in each).
