Almost 1 year ago I posted on here for the first time ever.

I was in a bad way, extremely angry and nothing of my own in my apartment... in fact I think that I still had a couch that I snagged out of the alley that was thrown away by a neighbor.

I sat in my recliner just now and for some reason I just broke down absolutely uncontrollably... Then I wondered why.

I bought a bunch of pictures and I put together my daughter's bed, bought her a comforter. Pillows, Sheets, I put up curtains.. I put all the pictures on the wall and it looks great. Tomorrow when I pick her up from school we're going to come back here and to her surprise my apartment will start to look somewhat normal.

She's been sleeping on a broken futon for a long long time.

Two years ago I was sleeping on the floor with just a blanket and my sweatshirt as a pillow... Today I have an entertainment center, a decent-size television, two large futons, a recliner, my daughter has a bed now... I have pictures on the wall, my kitchen is set up well, I have a truck which is paid off in full...

What am saying is that it has taken baby steps. Every day, every pay period ...month after month, slowly making progress.

It seemed impossible 2.5 years ago. It looked hopeless, friends and family turned their backs, I had to eat shit for the last 26 months at work...being treated like a slave, being negged and gaslit with no salary increase by greedy owners ( I made them an additional 9 million dollars just in the last 5 months without even a pat on the back).

But I have learned to take the small wins, the minor victories. I hope to report even better news in the next 3 weeks.

Today, however is a victory my friends. Thank you all.
