Because everything is scarce once you realize you only have a limited time-frame to live. This is at least true for time, on other things such as materials, I think i'm going toward the opposite, toward trying to live with less and less as time goes on.

It's cause of advertising. They make it seem like you'll be missing out if you don't have the product.

As a guy with overabundance mentality (deny bangs for gym or tranquility) I can say it is because most are too brainwashed or narrow-minded.

1)Because someone’s default SMV does not manifest into natural abundance.
If this someone would be higher SMV, he would experience abundance almost effortlessly and wouldnt develop scarcity mindset.

I would recommend monk mode and self improvement. When you realize you can live, improve, and enjoy life without women, you naturally develop an abundance mindset because you no longer seek external validation from others, specifically females.

It's nice when I get a compliment, but I never let it puff my ego like I used to. I just don't care about it anymore, and go with the flow. Take what life throws at you, don't be upset if nothing's coming your way for extended periods of time.
