The dating pool is a toxic cesspool. PUA is guys diving into the cesspool trying to find treasure. TRP is teaching men how to put on hazmat suits to be able to look for treasure. MRA is saying "wow, it's not fair that we have to deal with this cesspool". MGTOW is saying "fuck the shit, I'd rather direct my energy toward other things I enjoy". Different strokes for different folks.

Cocky & funny is game that actually works well if the girls are at or just slightly above your own level of physical attractiveness. Getting married/long term relationship is no longer a viable option for guys who want to get laid as it is too risky with too many possible pitfalls. That leaves not having sex at all, prostitution, or gaming women for flings and hookups as the only remaining options for sexual strategy. Most guys don't want to give up sex, and society generally frowns on paying for sex (even though there isn't anything wrong with doing that), so most guys who have swallowed the pill are choosing the third option and learning/practicing game. There isn't anything wrong with choosing cocky and funny as your style of game for your sexual strategy. They have chosen their sexual strategy and you have chosen yours.

Depends on how you look at it.

Here's the thing, for me, it is possible to subscribe to the RP and choose to be MGTOW, the two aren't mutually exclusionary in any way. TRP tends to put its focus on attracting women, but I've learned that the tenants of RP theory are very sound.

Here's an example. I've started walking to and from work, and watching my diet much more carefully. I'm going to start hitting the gym again soon, but so far, I walk five miles a day, and have cut a lot of fat and bad stuff out of my eating habits. I look and appear more physically attractive. Girls smile at me more than they used to. The other day, I was in a restaurant ordering lunch, when this woman in her early fifties stood next to me waiting for her lunch. She was wearing running clothes. She probably had kids years ago, and they're all grown up now, so, around lunch time, she has nothing to do until its time to go and get the kids. So, she spends time running. Good for her, she's fifty+ but I kid you not, she has the kind of body that twenty year old girls would kill for (athletic, toned, slim and sexy as hell). She stays in shape, she didn't let her figure go after marriage and children. As we were waiting in line, she turns to me and asks "where do you work out?" I replied that I wasn't at present, because I'm still on the mend from medical issues and she says "well, you look incredible, so I thought you worked out."

Did that feel good? Yeah. I don't do that to get her attention or the attention of other women. I do it for me, because I want to become the best version of myself that I can be. If that means that chicks treat me better, and are attracted to me, hey, that's great, but that's not the reason why I'm focused on self-improvement. I fully plan to implement RP rule #1 very soon and start lifting, because I think it would be a good thing for me to do. I like knowing my blood pressure, cholestorol and weight are under control, I like feeling healthy all the time. I try to read something every day, and write something each day. I try to work on a novel i'm writing, or just compose and post stuff online.

The RP is, as the subred indicates, not a hate site, its not a movement, its not a social cause. The RP is a tool, and nothing more. Its a pill, and just like Neo in the Matrix, the pill doesn't do anything that you don't want to let it do. Its a tool for shattering the illusion, but the RP cannot tell you who you are, anymore than the matrix can. You take it, you understand the tools, and what you choose to do with it is up to you. Its an effective tool for attracting women, but if that's not what you choose to use it for, you don't have to. The RP can help you become more comfortable socially, and it can help you advance in your career, get a better job and earn more money. If that's what you want to use it for, that's fine.

A lot of the guys on the RP subred do choose to use it to get women, but that's just one application. For me, RP is useful, that's why I tried to learn from it and to use it in my life. I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to get laid, because, frankly, the pathway to getting laid is so shrouded in mystery for most guys. We could use someone who taught us the truth, and told us what the lies were. If you want to know, you can now find out, if you don't want to know, use the RP for other things. To each his own.

To me, I see TRP as the all-encompassing knowledge on the subject of masculinity and how to deal with women.

By that philosophy, TRP relies on understanding the nature of women and how use that against them.

Half the population are women. How you choose to deal with that, is up to you.

How I see, what I call the RP line:

Far left: MGTOW (Nothing to do with women)
Far right: PUA (Women only for sex)
Centre: Friendzoning ladies.

r/TRP appears to be more right from centre, simply because you can't be half-pregnant (some, but not all applications of TRP theory are aimed at getting sex).

Their lives revolve around getting laid. So they're technically submitting to women. Since they just worship vagina and need vagina to live.

Nope. Sex is a primal urge that is difficult to suppress for a lot of men. However, TRP tells you not to over-invest in trying to get it, and simply walk away. Relationships are considered to be business transactions, but it needs to work more in the men's favour, because pussy is way too overvalued and there's plenty of it around anyway.

MGTOW generally sees sex as an unmarketable product anyway, so they're no going to buy into it.

TRP is gynocentric as a philosophy.

What does TRP advocate? Self improvement.

But self improvement in what sense?

Lifting, making more money, getting more status.

These are all goals set by gynocentrism at it's core.

A big part MGTOW is learning to define your own goals, ideally not revolving around women. If you want to be the best Goat Simulator player in the world, we don't shame that. It's your call and if you're happy doing it. More power to you.

The only real trap that MGTOW falls into a lot on here is that still defining too many goals with respect to women, either for or anti women, and not just letting them go.

It's because they want to have a sex life. Pretty simple. Also it's not gynocentric. It's about understanding how intergender sexual dynamics actually work ie it's about men and women equally. Also a lot of guys find both MGTOW and trp useful so you're insulting a lot of men here by calling terpers assholes. It's as bad as calling MGTOWs sad and pathetic ie some are some aren't. I feel your post is equivalent to: why do men want to fuck attractive women? Um, because they're biologically programmed to do so and it's really fucking fun.

TRP evolved from the question: "I want to have sex with attractive women, but how?"

and it then follows, "That's all I have to do? Count me in! I'll do whatever it takes!"

MGTOW evolved from the question, "All of this wanting to have sex with attractive women is driving me nuts, do I really have to make that the major focus of my life?"

And the answer follows, "I don't? Whew."

The biggest issue I see is the censorship. Anyone who sounds like they dont toe all the RP talking points/ party line is seen as a problem. Im afraid they are on the way to becoming an echo chamber. They have some good ideas and concepts. But if you have to defend those ideas by silencing any voice of perceived dissent, thats not very alpha.

Are fatherless boys raised by women who have no idea what being a "man" is actually about... they've rejected the "white knight/nice guy" aspect that their mothers (and other bevy of female teachers) instilled into them... but they are still enslaved into the idea that they need women, and are generally inured/habituated into seeking validation through and from women.

Abandoning -- in some ways perforce because society currently denigrates it -- the concept (either rejecting it and/or being entirely unfamiliar with it {because they had no role models}) of masculinity as being "fathers/builders" (aka "patriarchy")... the descend into the only thing that they can still conceptualize: animalistic hormonal "rutting".

Basically they're adolescents -- hence the emphasis on "notch count" (via one euphemism or another) -- and the overall atmosphere of a high-school locker room.

i don't get it why there seems to be some kind of beef between MGTOW on TRP. They're two sides of the same coin.

In my eyes MGTOW and TRP can profit from one and other. PUAs can learn from MGTOW that you shouldn't focus your life on women and MGTOWs can learn how to treat and "manipulate" women (well, more like not being manipulated by women). Actually TRP is a lot about self-improvement and they got a Blue Pill section with stories of failed relationships and marriages, they are always a good read.

TRP is a sidetrack and not compatible with MGTOW. They have a few good points regarding feminism and about the positive attributes of men, but little else. All they care about is how to get laid and that is gynocentrism in its purest form.

That's what the sub is about, although not exclusively. A lot of (ex-) incels and divorced men find the sub day after day. Most of them wanna make up for missing out. I personally found it on a self-improvement blog (thumotic). I don't even remember how I came across it but must have been from an MRA site. I don't find any of these to be mutually exclusive (except Roosh' neomasculinity bullshit).

You can either put women/pussy/the best way to get pussy/or yourself on the pedestal.

You may stop at any point on the scale of "omg you're so beautiful" to "ghosting". Your choice doesn't make you better or worse than anyone else.

TRP chooses to play into the women's hands, under the illusion that they're in control. To each his own.

The only negative thing I would attribute to that sub is the proportionately higher ammount of hamstering they do than most other people somewhere on that scale. After all...you don't consider you're wrong after you "know" you're right.
