Well, living in a van for several months really paid off well. The van paid for itself, and I saved up enough money to put 50% down on a house.

Breezed through escrow, and now I have a little stone 3 bedroom / 2 bath stone cottage with an attic and a basement to call my own.

The mortgage is for 30 years, but itll be paid off in about 4 years if things keep going the way they are. Plus I have the van for camping and travel when I want to go see the national parks (a bucket list item).

The attic is going to be finished, and that will be storage at the far end, and the hub of my IT services business and video game spot.

The middle floor is where the usual house stuff is done. Kitchen, dining, 85" TV for streaming my movie collection from the NAS home server I'm installing.

Basement? Well, all i know for sure us one half of it will be a rental for some of of the residents that pass through rotation, and I'll have to get my hot-rock sauna and my homebrewing supplies set up.and that's about all there is to it.

Its MGTOW philosophy that has been applied to my life for the past two years in earnest that has enabled me to do this.

No girlfriends, no dates beyond the occassional high-class hooker when I want one. Most of my time being dedicated to short-term downsizing and minimalism (configuring the van and saving shitloads of money on rent while studying for the next IT certification that led to a great paying job).

Living life on my terms and nobody else's and FOCUSING on improving myself and my circumstances to my satisfaction is what has culminated in me being able to scoop up a house that was being sold in great condition on the cheap because of....you guessed it, a divorce settlement.
