I’m an engineer and tripled my income three years after graduating college. My ex wife had a teaching degree and used it well for those first three years. After I made +$100k, she stopped giving a fuck about everything.

She quit her job to become a part time waitress and called in “sick” half the time. She was making about $30k when typically she would make $60k in the city we live in as a teacher.

I swear the Amazon drivers knew us by name and probably knew what pets we had. They were at the house every damn day twice a day. I’ve spent more on makeup and nail polish in three years than I’ve spent on my truck in 5.

I watched as my wife got more and more lazy. Id leave for work at 7a and she’d be sleeping until 9 or 10. I’d get home for lunch and she’d be on the couch watching tiktok. I’d get home at 8 and she’d still be on the couch. No dinner. No chores done. Dishes piled up. And then she’d bitch for having to clean.

EDIT: nothing went wrong. Everything went right. I’d be drinking myself to death if I were still married to that dumb bitch.

When the criticisms of me and her negativity towards little things in general started slowly becoming a bigger and bigger part of her vocabulary and attitude was the beginning of the end now that I reflect back. She would criticize how I loaded the dishwasher at one point. Became rude to the waitresses or busboy. Wtf? Slow death - the demise didn't happen over night. As I started to stand up for myself or remove myself from the situation is when she started justifying leaving me in her head - completely oblivious that the change was completely from her end.

I was in a constant catch 22. I worked too much according to her, yet the lifestyle and things she wanted required more money and more work. This catch 22 applied to other areas. She would yell at me because she didn't sleep good when I would sleep in the bed with her, but then if I slept on the couch or in the other room she would be angry that I wasn't sleeping with her. Lol - how do you win there?
The reality is she became a very angry, bitter, and depressed person and I started distancing myself from her because it always lead to a blowout fight so I just kept my distance. Eventually she found a love interest at work and decided to make a break for him. Was married with a kid and one on the way. Total homewrecker on that one. History will repeat itself with the new guy given enough time but she's so far in the rear view mirror I no longer have any shred of care for her and am a much happier person without that depressed and pathetic anchor weighing me down.

The last time I saw her she had gained about 30 pounds, her face looked worn, and was chain smoking. Sad too because when I first met her she was truly a beautiful woman and full of life. Now looked like a Jerry Springer specimen. I on the other hand am in great shape and killing it financially and socially and am just a much happier person now. That's some sweet revenge my dudes.

I did not fully understand that there is a difference between men and women values (freedom /safety ) or see how much influence films and television in general had over her

Have not divorced, but a similar experience.

I was always a typical beta nerd programmer. It pays well. First she was a teacher, then left her job for a part time.

During her free time she would play MMO RPG 8 hours per day, chores were done but sex was certainly on a second place. Her first place was her and her clan.

Then we got a first child, I would focus on earning money and giving it to her, and she would care about the rest.

Finally, one day, something magical happened to me. In a small period of time I hit the gym, increased testosterone to the top notch level with TRT so my brain changed completely, I learned about a RedPill subreddit and we moved to a different country.

RedPill and MGTOW opened eyes on what all women do, and even while in a small amount, my wife also did or tried to do. I decided it is time to get a completely different life, thanks an enormous level of testosterone I have now.

With all these things we converted to a typical patriarchal family. I earn money and in exchange I demand all her job at home to be done. More than that, things which I, as well as any other normal man, do not like are now completely prohibited. And my needs and demands are always respected. I am happy now, when I remember how exactly we were living before - I was really a simp. I see people in similar marriages, and I see way more people in very "toxic" or female centrist approach.

I am 100% sure, would I keep a previous life - it would make my marriage and especially my sexual life miserable. And who knows about my mental health.

Married, divorced or whoever you are - never tolerate a bullshit or a disrespect. Fight for your happiness. The nature forces women to accept whatever rules you want if you show yourself as a strong man with a strong body and a strong will.

My marriage was doomed long before it started. So was every relationship afterwards until I found the Red Pill. What went wrong was that I was raised by a single mother. Looking back at all the times in between relationships, I had money and independence. Looking at times in which I was in a relationship, I was pussywhipped, and a beta fuckhead. They all ended in disaster.

Which is why MGTOW and the Red Pill are important. Some of us beta bitches go our whole lives without having a clue as to what we're doing. We have to get the word out as far and wide as possible. We need to wake these men up who are being raised by single mothers. Especially in this generation where single mothers are the majority of the population. I wish someone had woken me up decades ago.
