First time posting, though I've lurked for about 2 years. I have never had much luck with women in the first place, so when I found MGTOW, I started trying to go my own way. Not even trying to interact with women. Besides the occasional hook up with an old friend with benefits and she moved last year. I did floor covering after high school for 5 years, it started wearing on my back and knees pretty good. So last summer I started doing surf lessons for a friend from high school. This year a girl started working with me teaching lessons. She has a very similar surf style to mine and other common interests. Friend said she talked about me alot, and I caught her staring at me on multiple occasions. I decided to take her out on a date I paid for dinner, she paid for drinks after dinner. We had a good time. Asked her out again and she said let's make it a group thing with the other instructors. Anyway I got feelings for her and I now see she doesn't want much more than to be friends. So I'm just trying to get her off my mind, and I'm kind of struggling to do so. I have a feeling I got caught up on her solely because she surfs. It was foolish of me to get these feelings but I couldn't help it. Wish me luck Gentlemen.
