I used to work in a labour intensive factory that requires some form of strength and endurance to load, unload, pull and walking. So I've work at 3 different companies that pretty much does the same thing as mentioned.

As a part timer, I'm paid according to the hours I work and not based on the type of work I do. So all 3 work often involves me working with other part timers doing the same thing but get this... When the part timer is a female, she's either tasked to do less intensive menial task such as button pressing, reading off screen or being sedentary at a fixed placed sitting on a chair doing so called "inspection" while the males regardless of his size and physical capabilities are put through to slog on lifting, loading, pulling and standing for long duration. Yet at the end of the day, both are paid the same.

Had a female part timer who's physically bigger and taller than me said the job was too easy and she always opted for OT because it was too boring and not physically demanding for her. When asked if she wanted to swap roles while I do the button pressing and inspection, she was so quick to say "well if I did that, there's no way I would have enough energy to OT thereafter since my body would be so sore from all the lifting and standing."

So help me understand this, why are males paid the same as females per hour for seemingly the same job scope and title but one requires to use less to no physical strength than other? How is this fair?

I took my 3 different companies to realize that this shit has been indoctrinated all the way down. Why oh why are men subjected to such disparity just because we are born stronger therefore we are supposed to be paid the same whilst doing more in terms of energy output?
