take some advise from a guy who was a nerd/geek in high school, aced his CS degree at university, made 6 figures in his second job and turned millionaire at 32:

trust your instincts! for millions of years there was no TV, social media & other sh!t ... men did what felt right and they did good!
it is in our genes to fight, hunt, solve, build and compete ... it feels good to be on top ... and it is possible to be the best at something in your group
don't let others tell you how to behave as a man ... especially not women (what do they know about that? nothing!) ... recognize manipulation (luring, shaming, ...) especially from women
lead ... the others will follow ... few people like to take up responsibility, be the one who does
we already know how to be friends with other men ... don't let women tell you how to be friends ... they don't know it ... have you ever listened to a woman complaining about her female colleagues? women are the last people on earth you should ask about friendship! Also men have the element of competition and achievement mixed into all of that ... women don't know anything about how to handle this! we know how male friendship works, how to make allies and how to pick our enemies!
don't be afraid of being alone ... get comfortable with it ... fill your time with hobbies, work, or learning ... do things you enjoy

Reminds me of the Bullshit with toxic masculinity. The idea to get boys more united and care about their problems is good. The problem is, you don't tell them that they need to behave more sensitive lol. You tell them that life is hard and that no one will just hand you shit. As a man, you need to be a winner or no one will give a damn about you. How about we stop pushing this feel-good shit and start giving boys some responsibility to carry and then give them respect and the pay for carrying hard shit on their shoulders. That's what I as a 20-year-old male would like. I like taking on responsibility and solving problems. The issue appears when I don't get the deserved respect and pay for my labor

You need men (older and wiser) to guide younger man and boys ... not women of any age not even their mothers...

Only a MAN can teach other boy how to be a MAN..... when I see women gives opinion about how to be men feels like men gives opinion about how to use dildo for vagina...

The problem is the peaking order. Males instinctively fight to get to the top, or as close to the top as possible, of the peaking order. Males at the top are rewarded with sexual access to females, approval of peers and older males, and more social and financial opportunities.

The problem is that only one person can be in the number one spot. Only a few persons can occupy the highest spots. Half of the people will be in the lower half of the peaking order. It's a zero-sum game, and one won not by merit, useful accomplishments, or advancement of humanity.

As long as the peaking order exists, life will be hell for the bottom third, miserable for the middle third, and great but scary for the top 10%.

The one good thing is that by the time you are 30 years old, the peaking order does not exist anymore. Your income matters to your lifestyle. Your social status means little to nothing. You're past the mate acquisition phase of life, and peer support is only important for mate acquisition. Once you no longer give a damn about acquiring mates, the opinions and support of your social peers doesn't mean jack shit.

I was surprised to find that my 30s were incredibly better than my 20s. I suspect that this is the case for the vast majority of men. Unless you're in the top 10% of men by status, being a young male sucks ass. But being a middle age man with a successful career and no dependents is awesome.

My advice to young men is to get through it and prepare for your career. It gets much better once you get to your 30s as long as you are financially secure.

Thats one of my favorite documentaries. The prison part is especially telling, each one of the guys interviewed admitted to coming from a broken home and participating in unhealthy bro culture & gangs.

Pretending that men don't have emotions is incredibly damaging however, the people who made this movie don't realize that men bottle up because most people dont want to hear it! Everyone in society needs to change if you want men to be more comfortable opening up. I hope to see more blokes happy & fewer killing themselves.

I'm now more ruthless about friends, family, doctors, or other professionals I hire. I don't tolerate being treated like a disposable male. There are people out there who will treat you with compassion & humanity, but, you gotta look for them and weed out those who won't. I don't want to be coddled like a child, but i refuse to be treated like a robot.

Maybe its just me, but i make it a point to call each of my friends that live in other parts of the world regularly. At a minimum, once every 3-6 months. I ask them how THEY are doing, how have they been feeling, what is some cool shit they've done recently, etc. I hug both my male & female friends.

It's bullshit. When a man starts crying people freak out. Start crying at work and see what happens. Start crying on a bus and watch how nervous everybody gets. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't learn how to cry on demand.
