A stickied mega-thread in which everyone can post about their banning woes.

This, but instead of stickying, just link to it in the sidebar (on both: the old and new reddit interface because I see so many mods on Reddit forgetting to do this and then enforcing rules that not everyone can see to begin with).

If I had to choose I'd say post a sticky about their banning and manipulation for everyone to rant in. People deserve the truth and it should be readily available. Then scrape the sidebar from the original sub and put it in this one.

Mods,

This morning I was banned from r/offmychest for simply visiting r/MGTOW.

When I asked the mods there, they said it was because r/MGTOW was now marked as a hate subreddit. That right there speaks volumes.

I eventually got unbanned from there when I proved that I wasn’t an incel . But the fact remains, hateful losers and “red pillers” have started peddling their bigotry on the subreddit.

I just want you guys to keep our subreddit incel-free, so the only feedback is that y’all should remove anything incel related. And also ban incels.

If you already do that, awesome then

Some bloke mentioned the other day about getting a 'one free pass' to complain about getting banned for moronic reasons from the other sub. I tend to agree. Let people have their rant and move on, and if they continue to bang on about it, pull them aside and give them the 'pull your head in' routine.

I'd rather see a cultural pressure where it's known that shit isn't really on, rather than censor the shit out of them. Guys want a space to complain about shit sometimes, and as long as the individual doesn't abuse the space, let it roll. It's probably just easiest for us to agree to not downvote and not reply to the threads as they pop up.

I'm behind a new rule stopping these kinds of posts. It can be heartbreaking and infuriating to get banned, but jumping over to a similar subreddit and rabble rousing can't be constructive.

I only just discovered this sub existed (thanks to the banning 2018 drama). I was banned from MGTOW and while I understand and can subscribe to the philosophy I can also see a toxic side which promotes the hatred of women, where as I think it sure just be about acknowledging and understanding that there is a double standard and promoting a life style that doesn’t hate women but looks to avoid them.

That said, I think if this sub was created as a result of any toxicity from either the philosophy or un-warranted banning on the original sub, you should allow such posts to be in order to promote this sub and the hypocritical nature of Original sub and only stop posts this like once there are sufficient subscribers to this sub.

I think it depends on their attitude. I really can't stand the idea of this place turning into a winging cesspool too.
