I've been lurking MRP for about 3 months now, putting in the pre-req's before posting - as is recommended.

Background: I'm in a live-in LTR rather than a marriage, and have been with my girl for a little over two years. We are both young - in our 20's, with me around five years older. I have a very-well paying career (own a business), am tall and have always been fit (lifted for mass for two years 5x a week).

Sometime last year, I quit going to the gym. It was for all the most beta reasons - wanting to spend more time at home, 'she loves me even with a belly.' You've heard it all before, I won't bore you with it anymore than I have to.

I was previously extremely RP without knowing it - I have had many, many HB8+'s over the years, and was successful at virtually everything I have put my mind to.

Except this relationship.

Around a year ago (so a year into the relationship) things started to go downhill, and in hindsight with red-colored glasses, I can clearly see it was all my fault. I let myself get lazy. I didn't make decisions when I should have. I defaulted to her on just about everything. I was the perfect beta provider, and put up with all her bullshit by thinking of myself as some kind of martyr who would someday get his due. Pathetic.

Anyways, over the last 3 months of digesting the pill and reading everything required, I've also got back to the gym. As I still had a lot of muscle mass left (thankfully) lifting hard 4x a week again has put me almost back to previous strength levels, and I'm looking a lot better. I've gotten comments from just about everyone I know about how I'm 'huge' again, so that feels great. I've also gotten more involved in my previous pursuits, and subsequently have been around the house less.

This coupled with RP philosophy (A&A, fogging, pressure flip) initially provided some great results. I was getting sex again, I was getting sweet and submissive behaviour from her - everything a guy wants in a relationship. She's far from a unicorn and AWALT, but it was enough to keep me where I was and feel good about it.

Up until the last two weeks.

It been a bit of backsliding from me with some indecisive moments, engaging in arguments a bit instead of fogging and moving on, and the like. She went back to levels of disrespect and general shitty behaviour even beyond what I was dealing with before. It all culminated in a huge blowout this weekend where when she dropped a nuclear shit test, I walked out and stayed with a friend for a few days. I didn't engage it - I just nodded my head, collected a few things, and got out of dodge.

I ignored the hell out of her for a day, then engaged in some very minor communication with her. I let her know that what she was doing wasn't working for me, but it was fine - I was going to move on with my life, and it was a shame it didn't work out.

She begged me to come back and talk, so I agreed to hear her out. She basically confessed that the reason she's been acting so shitty was because she was insecure that I was looking so much better and spending so much time at the gym, that she's noticed me checking out other girls more frequently (I haven't actually meant to do this), that I'm getting more female attention - it was basically a laundry list of mid-level dread. I was shocked - while I have definitely been ratcheting up dread levels a bit to try to provide some results, I thought I had been catching the comfort tests when they'd came along to balance it out when necessary.

Basically, I'm looking for some advice - I must have over-dreaded this poor girl without really meaning to. I mean, I know dread is essential to provide change, but it somehow blew up in my face. Did I fuck up the comfort tests without knowing it? Or is this actually the result I'm looking for with low level dread?

I didn't really respond to it when she brought out the dread laundry-list. I tired to respond in a comfort-test way, because she is basically swearing up and down that she was wrong to treat me like this, she knows she's fucked up and she's dying to change it. I don't know if this is a relationship reset, or if she's just trying to get ol' BB to come out and keep waving his wallet.

Thanks in advance, any advice / feedback / swift kick in the ass is much appreciated.
