Not much.... The destination is agreed upon in the beginning and the captain flies the aircraft.

The first officers job is to ensure the captain isn't fucking it up and to make sure the plane is running just fine and nothing is going to break...

Don't talk about work too much. that is what your male buddies are for..

When deciding on a new job, I would get her input but it's input only...The decision and factors around the job can have a significant impact on her life so you will need her to be aware of that and you will need to take that into consideration.

A good captain doesn't fly the aircraft into a mountain just to prove to the first officer that he can fly it on his own.

You can give her clear choices that are only in her domain:

"Would you like to move to Cleveland or Buffalo?"

You can't talk about work instability: She can't do anything about it and it makes her worry. You're inviting her to make decisions or offer suggestions where neither are welcome.

At a minimum I would have her proof read your resume and do a mock interview with you.

For the mock interview I would suggest the following:

Have her dress up in the sluttiest outfit she has, with the tallest stripper shoes she has.

Then, she can interview you while she rams a dildo up your ass. Likely with no lube since you sound like that kind of guy.

Report back with how the interview goes.
