Follow the money trail...where does it originate?

[–]Lethn 10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I'm getting awfully sold on the George Soros conspiracy so it wouldn't surprise me if he was involved somehow, honestly, that guy is fucking everywhere.

Second wave feminism was financed by the great capitalists via the Ford and Rockefeller foundations. This is a matter of public record.

Today, virtually all of the great capitalists support feminism, from JP Morgan to Goldman Sachs.

There is no conspiracy afoot. It's all right out in the open.

Like always, they always go for short goals. Women on the workforce means cheaper labor and more money to spent because women don’t invest like man. Divorced women for example spent money like crazy because their income from ex is always flowing and has no one to preventing that. In the mind they thought sex liberty will continue to give kids though single mothers but what they didn’t see was that the pillar of the society was the families that give us good education on kids and made them care about society. Now people only care about themselves. Their short term goals will collapse society and any type of social stuff our ancestors build.

You aint the only one...I've said that for nearly a year, and no one can fully connect him enough for him to be prosecuted.

If you had told me in 2016 about him I would have thought it was ridiculous and I did back then. However now that we're seeing genuine money trails it's not just an Alex Jones style conspiracy theory anymore.

George Soros has been pretty open about his involvement in stopping Brexit at least. He's funded an anti-Brexit group recently and then decided to lash out at people calling him out on it claiming that they were being anti-semitic.

https://news.sky.com/story/george-soros-defends-400000-donation-to-pro-eu-campaign-best-for-britain-11246436

It's actually gotten so bad, that even Gina Miller has completely distanced herself from him, which is surprising, given how hard she was trying to stop Brexit not so long ago. The left love peddling conspiracy theories about Russian bots causing Brexit but when there's a fucking money trail from George Soros right under their noses they don't even bother because they don't care how Brexit is stopped as long as it doesn't happen.

I am pretty sure at this point that Alex Jones acting like a loon is an act, a safety measure of sorts. He used to be more serious, I think. Supposedly the shift towards crazy is so that he doesn't have to end up committing suicide by shooting himself in the back of the head a couple of times.

George Soros conspiracy

What is it exactly?

[–]Lethn 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

He's been linked to numerous hard left and open border lobbies and political groups around the world and is using his money to influence elections and spread discontent. The genuine evidence that can be found on this has so far been some money trails that were found on him and more recently he's completely opened up about his involvement in anti-Brexit campaigning.

Is it really a conspiracy or a surprise though? I mean rich guys get involved in politics all the time.

Peter Thiel is also pretty involved in politics but he's a staunch libertarian, he is kind of on the other side of the spectrum as Soros. I don't see why being rich should bar you from participating in politics even if you are wrong.

[–]Lethn 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's participating in it honestly and then there's what Soros is doing, like I said, this guy has global reach and in this case he is funding groups that are deliberately trying to overturn a Democratic referendum and article 50 which was voted for by parliament. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with him if he was at least upfront about all the groups and politicians he's involved with but this guy is seriously shady.

Added in that last bit just in case any remainers with no lives were lurking about looking to try and scream at me about the referendum not being legally binding.

Gender studies don't even qualify to be assessed in terms of bias since their purpose isn't to teach or to research. They're just political activists masquerading as academics. The whole point is to be biased. Their goal is to spread their belief system and enforce conformity to said system as far as they can.

Imagine nazis/communists/flatearthers got their own university program - lecturing from and referencing their own propaganda as "academic sources".

The difference is that feminists enjoy a remarkable amount of immunity from being scrutinized like those other ideologies would be. Because, supposing a biology professor takes a look at this and points out how distorted it is, you get an exchange somewhat like this:

1) Feminists: "there is no biological sex"

2) Biology professor: "that's not correct, there is"

3) Feminists: "You don't understand women's experiences and you aren't familiar with feminist research so you're not qualified"

4) Biology Professor: "Well you said there's no biological sex and I am qualified to talk about biology"

5) Feminists: "So you're saying women are inferior and should go back into the kitchen. Misogyny".

6) Feminists proceed to write blog posts repeating this and the mainstream media parrot that. Students protest and the professor gets fired.

7) Other actual academics saw this take place and learn to just stay the hell away from that minefield and keep doing what they're there to do.

8) Decades of this and here we are in 2018.

I'm going to make this a post actually.

Pretty good point. It would be like saying "my Christian studies class at my Christian school has a clear bias in favor of Christianity."

What is bizarre is that Swedish gender studies is much more nuanced than that in the US, as far as what I have seen. True, much of it reeks of ideology - but there are halfway objective studies on male victims of DV, the education gap, and men's health. In fact, in the few areas where it is possible to stay clear of ideology, some excellent insights have emerged. And some of the most critical voices about the discipline arise from within its own ranks.

Not defending gender studies as a whole, of course. But the mere fact that despite several bright spots and the overall pressure to come to the right conclusions, a credible study comes out with these types of findings is, to say the least, striking.

[–]Mythandros 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Problem is... Gender Studies is NOT a science. It is a collection of ugly on the inside and outside people trying to blame their problems on men instead of finding the actual root of their problems and trying to solve it. They are only interested in finding a convenient scapegoat.
