This article is a repost from one of my comments, and it's missing some contextualizing words. I'll correct some of them.

I'll give some context.

No Russians were mentioned in the norwegian version of the article. The word "russ" does not involve Russia. Norwegian kids celebrate the end of public schooling in their final year in highschool (most are 17-19 yo at that time). This celebration is 17 days of drunken craziness where most of the kids do stuff they wouldn't normally do. They call themselves russ during this celebration.

Russeknutar: The celebrating kids have a set of codes, were certain acts are rewarded with the permission to carry a token that communicates to the other russ that they have performed said act. Many of these are sex or alcohol-related. This pressures the kids into doing stuff they'll be uncomfortable with when they sober up.

I lived in Norway for a while, I've experienced Russ. The sex craze girls go into during that period is absolutely unbelievable. I think it's a combination of 1) alcohol 2) social acceptance (during Russ, everything is permitted).

Also, they want to have sex with you. They're raping you, by any standard: if I were to make a tenth of what random girls made to me those days I'd be jailed for life... I'm talking about random girls french kissing you with no warning, groping, one time I was stripped of my pants and given a blowjob, in the middle of the street, in clear daylight (that, admittedly, was awesome, but think about it the other way around...).

The ones who claim rape are the ones who regret it the day after. Norwegian are crazy respectful of their women as a culture, the ones who do the most of the advances are the women anyway.
