AITA thread supporting controlling behavior; women wants to "ban husband from kitchen" in the house her paid for. Almost universally upvoted. Just imagine the genders reversed.

In her defence: he damages those kitchen tools. Banning goes too far but man, that guy needs to learn how to properly use these tools.

And the punishment reversed too. Banish the wife to the kitchen. Forbid her to come out. Feminists would love that, right?

But anyway, it sounds like a case of the common friendly romantic husband-wife tiff. Should easily be solved by a calm discussion.

I think the story itself is not sexist. He's dulling her chef's knives, running season cast iron cookware through a dishwasher, and generally messing up the kitchen. She's justified in telling him not to touch her utensils. Telling your SO not to destroy your property is not sexist. I banned an ex-GF from smoking in my car because she got a couple of scorch marks on the ceiling of the car.

That being said, AITA's response is sexist - it's full of feminists and simps. If a man banned his wife from doing something, AITA would be all over him. And that thread itself is full of a bunch of pathetic simps making self-depreciating "jokes" and wanting to hurt her husband.

And another thing, everytime a woman posts on AITA that her husband or boyfriend won't help with the cooking or cleaning, they take her side. Now this guy tries (badly) to cook and they will have none of it. I think a more rational solution would be for her to teach him how to cook, how to properly use cookware, and clean up.
