That doesn't sound like she's complaining, she was just saying she had too much going on to add a kid to the mix. My (male) 1SG recently made the same realization and initiated a rule that our shop had to close at 5 because he needed to be a better dad.

That is you in your career. Personally I think working those kind of hours is going to kill you and is not worth it. It isn't a badge of honor to do that. I understand sometimes it is necessary but not at the expense of your health and sanity.

Depending on what people do depends on what constitutes a long day. I am an attorney but I work in house. In the legal field 12 hours wouldn't be considered a long day but it would in my office.

You sound a bit bitter about the RIDICULOUS hours you work. And I would be too, that's crazy. But take a deep breath, she doesn't complain at all. She's just explaining that her life at 25 was not conducive to a child.

I remember enrolling in college back in the mid to late 90s. I was standing in line behind a couple of girls who were bemoaning the fact that they had a whole 10 hours of classes per week.....

I was in a technology course. I was looking at 35-40hours per week. not including the 3-5 hours per night of homework.
