She said she hit him. She didn't admit to violence until asked directly, she downplayed how much she'd drank until asked directly, she claimed he split her head open and produced photos of an abrasion or small cut. She changed which side of her head it was, and wasn't sure, and she was adamant her head was bashed against that exact tiled wall, but that wall was gyprock. And not damaged.

Meanwhile the only "inconsistenty" in his story was that he didn't immediately complain about being attacked to her sister, in public, about being abused, he mentioned that she fell down and hit her head. He only mentioned that she attacked him when it was implied he might have hurt her.

And that was enough to deem him unreliable for the first judge, and therefore, that her version of events was true.
