In today's episode, a very confused feminist asks why there are so few 'real MRAs' (since feminists, for some reason, claim magisterium over all subjects and peoples of the Earth).

The responses?

Because feminism actually encorporates these ideas where as the MRAs, whilst on the surface they seem to care about these issues, is just a reactionary movement to women gaining more equality.

That mere assertion proves...absolutely nothing.

One male feminist makes the terrible mistake of actually defending Men's Rights (while simultaneously denouncing MRAs in general and this sub in particular):

I disagree. MRAs have very specific objectives, they try to level the playing field by giving men a voice.

The point about the reactionary part of the movement is correct. Many men do turn into awful misogynists, making gross generalizations about women, which clearly does not serve their cause.

I can go and dig up at least three pieces of 'credible' feminist research in which feminists glorify and sanctify 'female anger' as 'mobilizing energy of feminism.' But somehow, male discontent is not to be suffered and in no way serves the cause.

Speaking of which:

The loud portion of MRAs have simplified their argument into something that falls in line with most social conditioning - that women are to blame. This simplifying is really seductive. It's easy to grasp, it's easy to find 'examples', it feels good.

Feminism has a bit of a counterpart (not in message, but in emotional appeal), the all choice is good choice form of feminism.

Hallelujah! A confession! Feminism is about emotional appeals, not facts or reason!

And, as is only their nature, they accuse you of what they are guilty of (simplistic narratives, social conditioning, cultish behavior)

Why aren't there more real feminists?

The ones who advocate for gender equality for men and women.

Specifically, feminists who advocate for institutional solutions for men's gender inequalities, just like they advocate for institutional solutions for women's gender inequalities.

Is it strange that I kind of enjoy reading people flounder around in Gender Equality 1.0 conversations?

It would be untroubled enjoyment if their hate ideology didn't have so much institutional power and continue to jeopardize the safety and well-being of men, women and children, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
