I'm at a forum for diversity and inclusion right now and it's amazing how many pseudo-facts are being bandied about here.

There have already been multiple mentions of the wage gap myth (stated as concrete fact) and skits showing that any idea a man has is racist/divisive/insensitive. I could understand it if I were hearing things like this coming from smaller informal group discussions, but this is happening in the keynote speeches that are being directed at 1500+ people.

I'm all for having diversity and being inclusive in the workplace, but the people running this thing could be doing a lot more good by speaking the truth.

They could have changed the name of this expo to 'Why The White Man is the Goddamned Devil' and I don't think any of the content would have to be altered.
