Plot: Thirteen-year-old fledgling writer Briony Tallis irrevocably changes the course of several lives when she accuses her older sister's lover of a crime he did not commit.

Mild spoilers: What I liked about this movie is how it gives us a glimpse into how false accusations can destroy people's lives. What I didn't like is that it's more of a female view than a male view. The atonement here is the female lead's atonement, and the ending is how she got away with it and then finally tells the world that she was wrong, but she's an old woman who is about to die.
