BBC Womans Hour begins a piece on rape trials by indicating that juries are more likely to acquit (than convict)

The fact is that in the UK rape trials at Crown Courts are more likely to lead to conviction than pretty much any other offence. About 55% or more defendants are convicted. Here is the evidence;
