Australian statistics:
1 in 4 (23% or 2.3 million) women and 1 in 14 (7.3% or 693,000) men
23% of women 14% of men in 2021–22 had experienced emotional abuse by a partner since the age of 15
16% (1.6 million) of women and 7.8% (745,000) of men have experienced economic abuse from a current or previous partner.

"Evidence suggests that male victims of intimate partner violence (IPV) are less likely to seek help for their victimization than female victims. Studies exploring barriers to help seeking are relatively scarce in the United Kingdom (UK) and those that have been undertaken across Europe, United States, Canada, and Australia have tended to rely on small samples of help-seeking men who have self-identified as victims of IPV. With a view to include more male victim voices in the literature, an anonymous qualitative questionnaire was distributed via social media. In total, 147 men (85% from the UK) who self-identified as being subject to abuse from their female partners, completed the questionnaire. "

Domestic violence is just bad. The demand that it remain a gender based issue and that we constantly point only to female victims and male perpetrators is a social problem.

All victims of IPV deserve help and treatment.

I have no idea why you are insisting that this be focused on as a Male problem?

There are millions of victims including children.

There are lots of support systems for Female Victims of IPV I grew up in the Govt system here in Australia and I can tell you there is a marked difference in support systems for female victims of IPV to Male Victims and Male children Victims once they hit 18.

You’re shifting the discussion from who initiates and intends harm to who ends up more injured, and that’s a category error. Abuse is defined by behavior and intent, not by the physical resilience of the victim. If one group initiates unidirectional domestic violence at twice the rate, that fact doesn’t disappear because the other group is statistically more likely to be injured. By that logic, attempted harm only counts if it succeeds, which is absurd. If someone swings a rod at me with the intent to seriously hurt me, they don’t become a “lesser offender” just because I’m strong enough to survive. Psychological abuse, coercion, intimidation, and repeated low-level physical aggression are not neutral just because they leave fewer visible injuries. Injury severity matters for medical response, not for moral or causal responsibility. Focusing exclusively on outcomes conveniently erases intent, initiation, and pattern of behavior — and that’s exactly how uncomfortable data gets deflected instead of addressed.

This would hold true if we control for biological strength difference, which isn't being done.

And let's look at this data from Wikipedia:

She further found that while 39% of husbands had thrown objects, 31% of wives had done likewise; 31% of husbands had pushed or shoved their partner, compared to 32% of wives; 20% of husbands had hit their wives, 20% of wives had hit their husbands; 10% of husbands had hit their wives with an object, 10% of wives had hit their husbands with an object.[91] In another study, using a sample of fifty-two Canadian college students, Steinmetz found male perpetrated IPV at a rate of 23% and female perpetrated intimate partner violence at a rate of 21%. Further investigation found that 21% of both husbands and wives had thrown objects; 17% of husbands had pushed or shoved, compared to 13% of wives; 13% of husbands had hit their wives, 13% of wives had hit their husbands; 10% of husbands had hit their wives with an object, 12% of wives had hit their husbands with an object.

Which further proves that even the intent to hurt in a definite range was also similar. May try to get understanding of those same datas and see it's breakdown by types.
