I was just commenting yesterday, on that topic about men being a minority on college campuses nowadays, and I mentioned about issues on both sides of the political spectrum, the right and the left (leaning towards extremes), and about the right I pointed out how often they love to sweep things under the rug with nonsensical bullshit like "boys will be boys" and use that as justification to do nothing, regardless of circumstances.

Now a few things I want to address here.

  • Liberals/democrats (the true ones, not the hysterical/insane sjws of present day) have spent decades if not more, educating people on various things, pertaining to progress in general. We had gotten to a point, at least I thought we had, where most people understood that things like bullying, homophobia, etc, are "bad". People understood, or came close to understanding, that while words don't have power on their own, they can be used as such when emotional baggage is attached (and then the sjws came screaming in and focusing on all the wrong things, all the time, and screwing everything up). We had gotten to a point where it was understood bullying should be taken seriously and at the very least adults should look into individual cases (as opposed to callous sweeping statements like "boys will be boys" regardless of the specific circumstances of an individual case). And then the sjws, and the pc "culture" came and took a dump on everything, pushing progress back decades, and giving the most ignorant people the perfect excuse to wallow in their own ignorance and not lift a finger.

This is relevant here, as the right is constantly trying to push back at anything relating to bullying nowadays, especially in response to the morons on the other side, the equally crazy left screaming about all the wrong and irrelevant things. And what happens? Well, countless boys like the one in that article become victims. It's pointless, and tragic and it could so easily be avoided.

  • This is related to a larger discussion about how boys are being raised and educated. For example, girls nowadays are being told since they can walk things like "you can be anything you want!", "you can achieve anything!", etc. Where as boys are met with a barrage of ignorance and uneducated antiquated "traditional beliefs" of what "real men are", and are told bs like "real men don't have/show emotions", "real men don't cry" and an unending stream of stupidity in the form of very rigid and very stupid gender role norms. In other words, boys are treated, generally speaking, as though they are incapable of higher reasoning or emotions. And as it so happens, drill enough into someone's head something, since birth, and in most cases it will stick.

This is relevant here, because, had it been a girl the victim... holy shit, end of the world. But since it's a boy, it's basically his fault "because he's probably too weak" or some such nonsense. Which I find insane and inhuman.

  • Lastly, I want to point out again, how immensely different the public opinion (generally speaking) would be if the victim would have been a girl. But in a society where men are increasingly seen as "born rapists", "mindless sex crazed monkeys", etc (and yes I've seen those things thrown about in comments over the last few years on various sites and whatnot, one cannot make this stuff up) and are generally regarded as disposable, this will soon become... normal. That's where we're headed. The normalization of this awful, desensitizing of people in regards to any kind of suffering pertaining to boys/males in general.

Yeah yeah, color me an alarmist if you like, but just look around at how if you want to even hear something like this article, you now have to dig deep in the obscure media, while the large media is almost exclusively dominated by the crazy regressive left, or the crazy regressive right.

I honestly can't think of a popular example of someone going against the grain, other than Bill Maher, and even he has toned down the comments about sexism against men, and the pc craziness (I mean he appologized for using the word nigger in a random phrase as quoting a "character", not himself using the word... it's just insane).

So yeah, that was me putting on my tin foil hat and saying all these things are connected and I find it really frustrating and depressing.

Edit: One more thing I'd like to add. I hear a lot from the right about how "we're all animals" and as such "survival of the fittest" etc... Basically dismissing cases like this, and blaming the victim for being too weak. It's astonishing to me how someone can be so dense as to put that forward as a rational valid argument. Yes, we're animals, yes we have instincts, and yes we're governed by a lot of said instincts. But we also have a brain. Using it seems a requirement to me. Or hey, maybe I'm crazy and I should just run around naked in the streets smashing rocks on the head of people who try to clean the spots where I "marked my teritory"...
