As much as I would like to skewer bad science and bad researchers, I would love to know some of the context of this conversation.
It seems that there is enough evidence to suggest this is bad science and I would hope that the author was not playing a game of gotcha journalism.
On the other hand, when it comes to Lisak, I do believe he has some of the better(not perfect) research out there for false rape accusations.

Then it appears we are talking about 2 different studies. I am referring to the linked study Lasik (2010). This study used 4 coders, paired into teams and both teams analyzed the same reports. This to me seemed reasonable.
The biggest issue with this study that i find is that people inherently misunderstand the coding system. After all was coded, the most accurate statement that could be made is:
"According to the Lasik(2010) study, the minimum false accusation rate is 5.6%. Beyond that, we don't know if the remaining reports represent false accusations or a rape."
But most people claim it says that the false accusation rate is 5.6%, which is not what the study indicates.

Maybe, but I have yet to see any in depth refutation of the study as a whole.
But perhaps some context is important. In a different sub, I saw someone mention/cite Lisak (2014) and cite 5.6% which i could not find. I only saw Lisak (2010), which did have the 5.6%. So when you mentioned another study I was hoping you knew where to find Lisak (2014) since it is newer.
Here are 2 of the best refutations of the study but they only point out what I really know and have stated earlier, that 5.6% represents a floor for the number of false accusations, not an exact number.

Do you have any sources that debunk Predator Theory?
Also, victim blaming is something to avoid. The real issue is the term victim blaming has been distorted. No longer is it used to describe a past victim, but instead to describe potential future victims making any crime prevention techniques "evil".
