I mean, what a trip. Someone actually realized that there was a problem and coughed up some pocket change as a small gesture. Anyone have the "He For She" UN budget happy? My guess is that it is a decent fraction of the annual US war budget.

This sounds great! $1.28 million is a decent investment. I'm especially happy about this part:

The researchers also will evaluate the men’s attitudes about seeking professional mental health services, their help-seeking behaviors such as using online services and referrals, their risk factors for suicide – such as relationship, substance abuse, and financial problems– as well as their perceived level of social support.

The one thing I wonder about is if men don't want to seek help because of social stigma / perceptions of masculinity, what makes them think that a man will go to a website to seek help? Shouldn't we spend some time attacking the social stigma or perceptions?

Maybe they should look at an on-line marketing campaign that says real men choose to live. It takes courage to seek help kind of ad campaign. When they click on the ad, it takes them to the help site where they get evaluated.
