To play devils advocate, I think that there is more to the tradition argument. In a culture where not being circumcised would ostracize a male, the most pragmatic thing to do for your child's future would be to circumcise them.
I know that gets tricky and enters into a moral grey area, but I would be interested in having conversation around that happening.
