Well I don't agree that most MRA articles bash women, do be careful you're not confusing misogyny with painting a less rosy picture than feminism. For example if you see an MRA article discussing how mothers are much more likely to abuse children, that is just a fact, and our purpose in pointing it out is not to deride all women but to show that there isn't this clean dichotomy of man evil woman good that feminists claim. There are areas where men are overrepresented in negative behaviours and areas where it is the other way around.

What I've discovered is most feminist articles will use highly selective stats to spread a false narrative. That same article that showed twice as many women abuse their kids as men, calculated from the data that 0.12% of abusive mothers killed their child and 0.13% of abusive fathers did. Even though this difference in percentage is statistically insignificant, only counts a percentage of those already abusing and it still meant about twice as many children were killed by mothers as fathers, the article twisted the words to say men are more likely to kill their kids.

Another feminist post shared on this sub pointed out that there were more US arrests for forcible rape in 2012 by 10-12 year old males than women as a whole. This sounds horrible and a great way to villify men until you consider the following elements.

-It's a single selective year. This may have been the only year this was true for all ee know.

-Arrests are the least reliable measure of a crime taking place. We don't know if these boys were charged, went to trial, or were convicted. We don't know if the claim of forcible rape was true or false in any case. There is a huge tendency, often written or verbally enforced in local police guidelines, to assume the male is the aggressor in domestic and sexual violence calls, and to arrest and remove him regardless of context.

-Most 10-12 year olds understand very little about sex or consent, and are considered too young to be able to consent. We don't know the ages of any of their victims. Claiming rape by an underage person is a surprisingly common tactic by female pedophiles that capitalizes on stereotypes of male sexual aggression and that men always want it while women are typically victims.

-This is perhaps thr most important point, a woman forcing sex on a man in the US (and many countries) is not considered rape! Under US law, penetration of the vagina or anus, or penetration of the mouth with specifically a penis, is all that counts as rape. Forced fellatio or vaginal sex by a woman is classified as "forced to penetrate" and is thus not counted in rape stats. This makes up the vast majority of forced sex on men, and if this was correctly classified as rape, would show that men are raped about as often as women, which for those raised on notions that all men are rapists is a hard pill to swallow.

These are two examples but basically, most feminist stats are heavily manipulated to create false anti male narratives. The MRA position (well most MRAs, no movement is a monolith) is not that women bad, men good, but to show that the feminist men bad, woman good narrative is bigoted and false, that men have real problems that deserve addressing, and that society's need to highlight every possible percieved evil in men while ignoring and downplaying women's ability to also do bad things is destructive, excuses the worst behaviour in women while punishing and dehumanizing even perfectly good men. Men and women are both human, capable of great good and great harm, kindness and cruelty, and society tends to view things through a heavily unbalanced lens.

MRAs don't go around saying kill all women, institute a woman tax, give men preferential treatment in the workplace, have all funding directed towards mens issues with none for women, put up campaigns that present women as the sole perpetrators of domestic violence etc. but feminists do all that in reverse. MRAs are egalitarian. Do not make the mistake of assuming feminists are simply because it says so in the dictionary.

Define 'hate' because I've noticed people who criticise MRAs are incredibly lose with that word.

i lean towards MRA over Feminism. Just don't go down the rabbit hole of the incel and mgtow communities, tbose are a bit extreme. Most MRA's i find express egalitarian views which is perfect. I think feminism argues for dominance over men, they never wanted equality.

Either you are confused, or this is the standard weekly concern troll.

In 1995 or so feminists wrote the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), which had no concept of a male DV victim of a women and no concept of a female abuser. But this was not enough, some women were still being arrested for DV, so feminists incorporated the Duluth model in to the VAWA, which literally directed police to arrest the man even when he was the only one injured under the rationale that the woman was the abuse victim acting out against her abuser.

So if you think arresting male DV victims of women is a good thing, you're probably a feminist. If not, you might be an MRA.

Feminism is for the betterment of women. If there is ever a conflict between what's best for women and equality, women win out.

MRM is for equality. Not a single policy proposal suggests treating men and women differently
