Is the landlord looking for females, or are there already women living there who are looking for female roommates? If it's the latter, I hardly think you can call it discrimination. When I was looking for a place to live I came across a few ads by men who were only looking for male roommates. I think it's fair to want to live with someone of the same gender or sexuality.

However, if the landlord will only accept female boarders, that's discrimination.

This is a men's rights issue that is new to me. Can you post a source showing this bias in rental rates that favour women?
