We have to stop publicly crucifying these people before they ever even get a trial. All of Cosby's projects have been suspended. Jian Ghomeshi got fired and is on the run. All it takes is a small group of women trying to extort -- 10-20 people is not that many, especially when like Ghomeshi or Cosby, you're constantly meeting and tutoring new people.

Perhaps the women were really were assaulted, and if they were, we have a system for handling that kind of thing. The accused should be left alone and allowed to continue on with their affairs until convicted. The NFL should adopt this stance too. Let the legal system handle this; we have it for a reason, and we don't need to sprout up all of these extralegal punitive systems.

If the allegations are true, then obviously not.

Similarly, if the allegations seem likely to be true, then it won't seem like things have gone to far.

I'm curious to hear what you all think about this from a men's rights perspective. Is he being unfairly targeted? Or does he deserve this kind of media treatment?

Well, that solely depends on whether or not he did it, doesn't it?

The sheer number of women coming forward alone doesn't impress me. He was really famous. Even IF he is a serial rapist it wouldn't surprise me if at least some of them were lying.

If he is a serial rapist however that high number of accusers isn't that surprising either.

I think his accusers should have come forward when it could have gone to court. I don't think that Cosby should have to suffer for this.

Imagine this for a second. Let's pretend he is innocent and women are falsely claiming rape against him. This is not unimaginable considering many of the false rape claims we see here and also considering the fact that he is famous. If this is true, this is a travesty and I feel so sorry for him.

If this is not true, as in, he is guilty, then I wish these women came forward years ago do he could go to jail.

Our society was made under the premise that it is better to make a legal system as such that would let 99 guilty men go free than to send 1 innocent man to jail. Considering the fact that they waiting too long, I think we should use the logic of the legal system here.

Wouldn't he have legal grounds to sue for defamation? If he's not being charged then all it's resulting in, is character assassination/harassment.
