Maybe not right away, maybe they will try to save face, need time to digest, just like men, but believe in the good of people. I myself am I terrible example to say such a thing. I troll, I ridicule, I am impatient, sarcastic.

The gender divide, which we will forever have to contend with, in one way or another, did not arise to make men and women hostile towards one another. It was an adaptation that served humanity as a whole and enabled a bunch of hairless, clawless, pathetic apes to rise to the species we are today. Many of our biological adaptations that have served us well, such as the ability to store fat, have become maladaptive, caused obesity, disease, both bodily and social. In a world with no more tigers to fight, in the safety of the modern city, in the world of lawyers and court rooms, our gynocentrism might very well be maladaptive but we must believe in the good of people, in their strength, to reach a place of justice. The only way we can defeat the evil in people is with their good. Many women do sincerely believe that what they are doing is good, many men have been raised into a certain system of thinking. But that is usually done out of a sense of justice, that someone weaker needs protection. That is the fundamental truth we must not forget. If we want to believe humanity can do better, then we must also believe in the good of people.

Mens Rights is not really some singular idea, it is a series of different issues that happen to relate to men but often not to each other. You can't really argue that 'mens rights' are any more valid than 'trans rights' with a single source. A single source can only tell you if a particular issue is an issue. We can link you to statistics on circumcision but that doesn't help if your debate was about alimony. And if you weren't talking about either of those and just saying 'MENS RIGHTS ARE IMPORTANT' without knowing what any of them are then you're just arguing for the sake of arguing.

I suggest you take a different approach. Try making a case for men’s rights from principles. Eg

Everyone has human rights, and human rights need to be protected to prevent violations, therefore we should protect men’s rights.

You are right that if there isn’t a specific topic being addressed that it turns the argument into one on general oppression, I think I’ll leave the individual to their own devices and just read more into this on my own.
