I've read a lot of other guys complaining they can't use condoms because they can't maintain the erection, while I could maintain an erection even if the condom was made out of a burlap sack.

It dawned on me that it might be because I'm uncircumcised, which means I retain higher sensitivity in my penis compared to circumcised men, so condom use does not impair my ability to maintain an erection, but circumcision might be what is making it harder for some circumcised men.

And if my hypothesis is correct, it's leading to more unprotected sex, which means in practice circumcision actually leads to more STDs in practice not less.
