Hello, I am not sure this is going to go down well but I need your insight into what to do (also I am female)... I had a medical appointment where it was required that I answer some questions about my life. There was one question about abuse in relationships; I think the way it was asked was maybe a bit euphamistic or something because I intended to express that I had, in the recent past, been in a violent/controlling relationship, but what the Dr (male) had understood was that I had been raped by my then partner, which wasn't at all true. I only discovered that the Dr had thought this when I got the report about the appointment yesterday. I didn't name my ex partner so it's not like he'll be in trouble or anything, but still, it's there on my record. A reference to a rape that didn't happen. I feel really guilty. Do you think they would change it if I asked? Can official records like this be changed? Might they think I was just trying to cover for the 'rapist'. I worry about this being included in rape statistics. I hope I can right this situation.
